Special Olympics Maryland athletes

Special Olympics Maryland (SOMD) is a year-round sports organization dedicated to providing training and competition opportunities to Maryland’s children and adults with intellectual disabilities.  Offering 28 different sports during four separate sports seasons, SOMD is positively affecting thousands upon thousands of athletes, encouraging them to reach their full potential by focusing on what they CAN do and not what society has long taught that they CAN’T achieve.

SOMD is proud to count Mickey Cucchiella as one of the organization’s biggest fans.  His outspoken support of the organization and the friendships he has formed with many of the athletes that he has worked with over the last four (4) years have made all of us better.
